How to find your carburetor model number
Ordering the right carb comes down to two numbers: the model of your machine and the stamp on the old carburetor. Here is where to find both.

Read the machine model plate
Trimmers and blowers carry a sticker on the engine housing or the shaft; chainsaws usually under the rear handle. Write down the full model including suffixes like C, R or T.

Look for the serial number too
Some models changed carbs mid-run. Echo CS-310 and PB-250, and the Stihl FS38 and FS55 around 2013, are good examples. The serial number decides which one you need.

Find the carb stamp
Remove the air filter cover. Zama carbs are stamped with codes like C1Q-S97, RB-K93 or C1U-H60 on the body. Walbro carbs start with WT, WYK, WTA or WYA.

Compare the linkage
Check whether your throttle uses a rod or a cable, and what shape the cable end is. Many returns come from linkage differences, not the carb body.
