Before you order

Most no-start calls are not carburetor problems at all. A cracked fuel line sucks air instead of gas, a primer bulb splits and stops pushing fuel, an air filter packs with dust and chokes the engine. These parts cost a few dollars and take minutes to fit, so it is always worth replacing them before you replace the carb.

Our fuel line kits come in four common inside diameters that cover most trimmers, blowers and saws. The tune-up kits are matched to specific Echo and Stihl engines, and the adjusting tools cover 21-tooth splined, hexagon, A-circle and Pac-Man screw heads, so you can set limiter-cap carbs without chewing up the screws.

How do I tell which fuel line size I need?

Cut a sliver of the old line and measure the inside hole. Most 25–30cc handhelds use .080" or 3/32" for the pickup and 1/8" for the return.

Do the adjusting tools fit Walbro carburetors?

Not the 22-tooth Walbro heads. Our 21-tooth splined tool fits Zama and most other splined screws; check the head shape on your carb first.

How often should I change the primer bulb?

When it stays flat, feels sticky or cracks at the base — usually every second or third season on a trimmer that sits in a hot shed.
